We have clients who file Form 990-T solely to attach a foreign filing such as Form 5713 or Form 5471. In these instances, our prior software provided allowed for a heading to be entered on Form 990-T, Page 1 where we would state “Filed solely to transmit the attached Form 5713” as an example. |

This heading on Form 990-T, Page 1 alerts the IRS that the organization did not have unrelated business income to report on Form 990-T. It was just filing Form 990-T as a cover page for the attached foreign form. |
