Basis: More automations for the Basis Tracking tab; AMT

In the context of the new Corporate AMT rules, there is an identified need to add more automations to the Basis Tracking tab in K1A (currently 100% manual). These improvements could include automatically pulling in taxable income, basis adjusting items, contributions and distributions as basic starting blocks for an expanded automated basis tracker.

How will this idea help you and potentially others? Understanding how things are done today, where the pain is, and how the idea is beneficial puts us in your shoes.

Our basis tracking tab gives flexibility for organizations to track any basis that may be relevant to them but currently lacks much of the automation present in other areas of K1A. Introducing more automated calculations and information population features can help improve the ease of use of this screen.

Who will benefit from this idea? Whether it's specific roles of users, users of a specific product, or certain departments/markets, this helps us know who to talk to when we need more information.

Corporates with over $1B in annual revenue are subject to the new CAMT rules. Other corporations may have detailed basis tracking requirements amongst federal and state jurisdictions where this may also benefit.
