When K1x Analyzer pushes K-1s into CCH only activity number, it does not bring in Partnership Name, EIN, Address.

Describe your idea. The more information you provide, the clearer picture of your idea we will have.

Please improve Analyzer to CCH integration to improve what goes over to CCH from Analyzer. The lower-tier partnership Name, EIN, Address need to be pushed in as well as k-1 data and activity numbers.

How will this idea help you and potentially others? Understanding how things are done today, where the pain is, and how the idea is beneficial puts us in your shoes.

This will help remove manual inputs duplicated that get done in Analyzer then in CCH again

Who will benefit from this idea? Whether it's specific roles of users, users of a specific product, or certain departments/markets, this helps us know who to talk to when we need more information.

Any user of CCH Axcess Tax and K1x Analyzer

How do you envision this idea being implemented at K1x? You're the expert and understanding how you see this working helps kickstart the idea.

This is a little tricky, I would personally prefer that it not be implemented until users have the option of being able to select what names they want and such.

For names, long partnership names are truncated on certain schedules so I make an effort to shorten them when possible in CCH. I wouldn't want the partnership names to always be overriden.

For EINs, partnerships vary on whether they send EINs in one year or others, sometimes they suppress EINs sometimes they don't. My current workflow for 1040s is having a new activity is having a user enter a the Partnership Name, EIN, and home state on creation of the partnership. The home state entry keeps the activity number from changing in CCH. Having them add an EIN is the only way I can think of to maintain integrity between the activity numbers in CCH and K1A, since I can bump the K1A export all investments ein's activity numbers against CCH's Import/Export section.

For the address, K1A has an address block and CCH has fields for the address that match with efiling. This would require K1A to allocate resources to parsing the address which would be a ton of work, introduce additional room for error on the initial scan, and provide very little benefit other than getting around things like New Jersey efile diagnostics.
